The purpose of EDUF is to help fortify ministerial education throughout Africa. We do this through various means whether it be to partner with various Nazarene colleges and universities to provide endowments and scholarships, help with library development, send project teams to Africa to be involved with educational programs and institutions, and to sponsor various projects to meet particular educational needs.
At this point in time, the primary focus is for Africa, but the legal structure would allow for inclusion in other world areas.
There are multiple ways to donate to EDUF: through the donate buttons on our website, on our Facebook page, or sending a paper check to any one of our board members or mailing a check to our treasurer: Mrs. Lauralee Nothstine, 2412 Wildflower Cove, Mishawaka, IN 46545.
Transparency in giving is paramount. 100% of donations designated to specific projects are sent to that project.
Donations to EDUF received without a specific designation are used for sustaining the overall mission of the Fellowship, giving priority to initiatives prioritized by our top leaders in Africa.
Yes. EDUF provides letters of donation in January for the sum of donations of the previous calendar year. For any hiccup with this, contact Admin@eduf.org.
The online platform for giving through the Church of the Nazarene that gives churches 10% credit for their giving is called “Project Serve”. For churches wanting 10% credit for your giving. EDUF has been given new instructions by the office of Stewardship at Global Ministries Center. Instead of sending checks to our treasurer marked for 10% giving, we ask you to please give to Africa Education through Project Serve at Nazarene.org and when you receive an emailed receipt, send a copy of the receipt for to Admin@eduf.org. We thank you in advance for following this procedure.

Yes. In the past, EDUF leaders have led trips for multiple purposes such as construction, for prayer and casting vision, for teaching, and for consulting. The hope is again to organize a trip or trips as early as possible.

Yes. In 2006, EDUF was organized in Missouri as a non-profit corporation exclusively for charitable, scientific and educational purposes.
The board of EDUF changed the name from Education Development United Foundation to Education Development United Fellowship to clarify that the legal structure and tax rules are not those of a foundation.
