Three-Way Partnership for First Cohort of Master of Science in Instructional Design and Technology

The first cohort of the online master’s degree in Instructional Design and Technology from Trevecca Nazarene University had four African scholars. The funding for this cohort was a 3-way partnership between Trevecca Nazarene University, African Region of the Church of the Nazarene and Education Development United Fellowship. Many EDUF donors gave towards the fees of these students and we thank you for your fantastic faithfulness! Congratulations to the creators and instructors of this new program and to the hard-working students themselves.

Wife of FEC

When my husband became a Field Strategy Coordinator it was difficult for me to find a new job with the qualifications I had.  When the financial support from EDUF came up, an opportunity to study at Trevecca Nazarene University was availed.  My degree has enabled me to take up the position of an Instructional Designer at Africa Nazarene University (ANU) in Kenya in January 2024. Thank you ever so much, EDUF, for making my dream come true!

Let me begin by expressing gratitude to everyone who contributed to our achievement of this degree in Instructional Design and Technology. May God bless you! For educators, Instructional Design and Technology (IDT) presents unparalleled opportunities for professional growth and development. They can seamlessly integrate best practices in their material, which can elevate their ability to facilitate effective, engaging, and personalized learning experiences that empower learners and educators to achieve their educational goals.

Volonteer

Currently, I am a volunteer at Africa Nazarene University, Online department, as an instructional designer. I am the district Children Ministry secretary (Kenya Central District) and leader of the Nazarene Preachers’ Kids here in Kenya.

The knowledge and skills acquired in the program I have just concluded helps me plan training effectively and efficiently. I am also able to differentiate between very necessary pieces of information to deliver, chunking being vital, and how to disseminate any extra content in an efficient manner. Finally, my critical thinking, communication and leadership skills have greatly improved as a result of accessing this program. I would like to personally appreciate each and every one of you for the support you accorded to me and my peers. Not only has it equipped me for better ministry, but it has also led me closer to God, which is our sole purpose here on earth
